New Apple update brings your files at risk

Before you update your iPhone, iPad or Mac to the upcoming version 10.3, remember to backup your files first.

Apple introduces namely in silence a new file system in the next update.

The operating system iOS go from Apple's old file system, HFS +, to a whole new file system, which has been named APFS (Apple File System).

Backup for safety's sake
All existing files could be converted to the new system but should go wrong, the old files have been lost forever.

When the update is ready, there will likely show an invitation to back up on the screen, but now you know in advance and can take your precautions.

You can backup your iPhone or iPad either via iCloud or iTunes.
