Alternative Christmas present from Apple: MacBook death

It should be the situation that you just avoided if you were selling computers with both proprietary hardware and software, but nevertheless Apple has managed to destroy their own products with a software update of Mac OS X.

This is the update to the latest version of the OS, 10.5.6, which does not take into account that some MacBook owners have not upgraded their firmware recently. Really should update the firmware check that everything is as it should be, but it has not happened in this case. Which should cause even very red ears of those responsible.

The machine with the non-updated firmware, will after update 10.5.6 behave normally. So until you reboot the second time. Then it would not boot up the OS. Instead, stop loading and you are left with a black, but certainly still beautiful screen.

Fortunately, the machine can be repaired, either through Apple-care or at home, if you otherwise have an external display, mouse, keyboard and a little technical knowledge of operating systems.
