New Firefox out in beta 2

Acid3 is a test for web browsers, which check how well a particular web browser complies with standards, especially in relation to javascript and Document Object Model. Acid3 gives a percentage relative to how well a browser is doing, and beta2 of Firefox 3.1 were stunning 92 percent.

It is not quite as nice as the new Alpha version of the Norwegian browser Opera 10, scoring 100/100, but still good.

The new Trace Monkey, the new JavaScipt engine running as a standard for Web content, and it is new compared to the first beta of Firefox 3.1. It is also news that the second beta version offers Web Worker Thread, which is a feature that allows web applications to run in the background, something that can help developers to work faster.
